Trail Running Calendar United Kingdom 2026-2027

A 26 miles anti clockwise loop around Allendale, Northumberland, organised by North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team to raise funds. The route crosses Hard Rigg, Black Hill and Kilhope Law and returns via Spartylea, The Drag and Ladlewell.

A community focused trail race at Yorkshire Cycle Hub on 3 April 2027, the third annual Mind Over Moors event features a well marked 10 km circular course, limited entries, and proceeds supporting mental health charities.

A 42 km trail marathon from Stanmer Park across the South Downs that joins the Brighton Marathon finish on Hove Lawns. Entry includes chip timing, a finisher medal, stocked outposts and a GPX route file.

Trail races on the Monsal Trail in Bakewell with a half marathon and a 10k on Saturday and Sunday in April. The course follows a former railway line through four tunnels and across the Monsal viaduct with route maps available.

A 54 mile circular ultra and a 26.2 mile marathon section based at Brixworth Country Park, combining trails, roads and canal towpath with waymarking, checkpoint support and real time GeoTracks tracking.

A coastal trail run of 7.4 miles with 890 ft of ascent, starting and finishing in Skinningrove and passing along the Cleveland Way into Saltburn. Open to participants aged 15 and over with a 2.5 hour time limit and multiple prize categories..

Trail races in Hawkshead on 11th April 2026 with marked 10k and 16k routes, panoramic Lake District views and the mile-long Coffin Trail climb. Event HQ is at Hawkshead Recreation Ground with marshals, water stations and an event village.

A 50 mile trail race along the South Downs Way from Worthing to Eastbourne, featuring about 5700 ft of climb, seven aid stations, mandatory kit checks and a 13 hour limit. The course finishes with a lap of the athletics track.

Centurion Running's 50 Mile Grand Slam 2027 bundles four separate 50 Mile events across 2027, from April to November. Entries open 26 April 2026 and the standard entry fee is £480.

Trail running event in the Lake District on 10 April 2027 offering 53k and 23k routes around Derwent Water and Catbells. The race is TRA licensed with chip timing, GPX files and live tracking for ultra runners.

A 14.35 miles trail along the north east coast from Redcar Beach Base to Staithes, featuring sand, cliffs and 1591 ft of ascent. The event has a five hour cutoff, 150 places and a minimum age of 17.

A coastal trail marathon on 11 April 2027 from Redcar to Whitby along the Cleveland Way, covering about 26.57 miles with 3,263 ft of elevation. The route includes varied terrain, a 10 hour cutoff, and 300 places.

Trail races at Derwent Reservoir offer 5 mile and 10 mile routes around the reservoir on closed roads and firm trails. Live chip timing is provided; the 10 mile has a 2.5 hour cut off and on-site parking requires a pass.

Beach races at Pendine Sands on 11 April 2027 offering 5k, 10k and Half Marathon on a firm, measured out and back sand course. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and trophies are awarded to category winners.
