Trawsfynydd Multi Terrain 8 Miler

The event is an 8.6 mile trail race around Trawsfynydd Lake in Eryri / Snowdonia National Park, starting from the Magnox Power Station car park (postcode LL41 4DT). The course is mixed tarmac and trails, with approximately 175 m of ascent, and is described as mostly fast with one more demanding hill. The race will be held under Welsh Athletics / UK Athletics rules.

All proceeds are donated to the South Snowdonia Search and Rescue Team, a volunteer run charity that responds to local callouts year round. The main race is chip timed, fully marshalled, and supported by water stations. Race numbers and timing chips are collected on the day.

Entry is open to athletes aged 17 and over, with a maximum field of 450 runners. Entry fees are listed as £25 for UK Athletics affiliated runners and £27 for non affiliated runners. There are also children’s races of about 1 mile and 2 miles with on the day registration and an entry fee of £3.

The The North Wales Pilgrim Trail Marathon will take place in Pistyll on Saturday 6 June 2026. You can run 42 kilometers.

A 7.3 km mountain race with 400 m of climb on Mynydd Graig Goch, part of the North Wales Mid Week Series. The course is partially marked and requires navigational skills; juniors race from a separate HQ near Llyn Cwm Dulyn.

A guided recce of the Paddy Buckley leg across the Snowdon Range from Beddgelert Forest to Llanberis on 14 June 2026. The 20 km route includes about 1,900 m of ascent and is led in small groups by qualified mountain leaders.

A 19.3 km fell race with 914 m of ascent around Abergwyngregyn, part of the North Wales Series 2026. Entry costs £10 and registration is available online or on the day; navigational skills and mountain experience are recommended.
