Moel Famau 24

Moel Famau 24 is a timed hill and trail event set on the Clwydian Hill of Moel Famau. Competitors choose either a 12 hour or 24 hour challenge and complete as many laps as they can of a roughly 7.2-7.5 km loop with about 500 m of ascent per lap. Solo runners and teams may enter, and walkers can participate.

The event is based on the slopes of the mountain at Plas Dolben Farm. Participants use a camp field for tents, vans and support crews. Facilities at the camp field include feed stations, toilets, showers and covered rest areas. Entries receive camping with one vehicle pitch, electronic timing, GPS tracking, a finisher medal and a certificate.

Racing rules require laps and times to be recorded through specified entry and exit points. Solo runners may have support crews in the camping area but not on the route. Teams must ensure each registered member completes at least one lap and must use the designated exchange point when leaving or entering the course. There is no minimum lap requirement and no overall cut off; participants may take rests as needed. If a lap is underway when the chosen time limit is reached, the extra time to complete that final lap is added and used for results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
