Moel Famau 24
Ruthin, United Kingdom • 15 Aug 2026
Event overview
Moel Famau 24 is a timed endurance event on the Clwydian Hills based at Plas Dolben Farm. Entrants can choose a 12-hour or 24-hour challenge on a looped trail. The course uses a roughly 7 km loop with about 500 m of ascent per lap. The event accepts solo runners and team entries, and walkers may take part.
Course, format and facilities
The event base is a camp field where tents and vehicles are parked and where support crews can wait off the route. Facilities include a camping pitch with one vehicle space, feed stations, toilets, showers, covered rest areas, electronic timing and GPS tracking. Finishers receive a medal and a certificate.
Participants may stop and rest as often and as long as they wish, but they must enter and exit the route through the designated timing areas so laps are recorded correctly. Teams must exchange at the marked exchange point and each team member must complete at least one lap; unregistered runners may not be used. If a competitor is on the course when the chosen time limit elapses, they continue to complete that lap and the extra time to finish the lap is used for results. The event offers an open, looped hill and trail format with on-site support. Next scheduled race date is 15/08/2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
