Moel Famau 24

Moel Famau 24 is a timed hill and trail event held on the Clwydian Hill of Moel Famau with options to compete for either 12 or 24 hours. The course uses an approximately 7.5 km loop that includes roughly 500 m of ascent per lap and varied terrain with climbs and descents.

The event is based on the slopes of the mountain at Plas Dolben Farm. Competitors base themselves in a camp field where tents and support vehicles can be parked. A dedicated entry and exit area records laps; feed stations, toilets, shower facilities and covered rest areas are positioned near the camp field for use between laps.

Entries are available for solo runners and for pairs or teams. Solo runners may rest and resume as required but must use the solo entry/exit point so laps are recorded correctly. Teams must ensure each registered member completes at least one lap and must use the exchange point for entries and exits on the course. Support crew may use the camping area but are not permitted on the route.

There is no minimum lap requirement and no fixed lap cutoff; if a participant is on the course when the event duration ends they complete that lap and the final time is used for results. Event services include electronic timing, GPS tracking, camping with a vehicle pitch and finisher recognition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
