Moel Famau 24

Moel Famau 24 is a timed endurance event held on the slopes of Moel Famau using a 5.8 km loop that includes approximately 400 m of ascent per lap. The event offers 12 hour and 24 hour formats and accepts solo runners, walkers, pairs and teams.

Competitors base themselves in a camp field adjacent to the course where tents and vehicles can be pitched, and support crews may wait. At the end of each lap a peel off from the dibbing area provides access to feed stations, toilets and covered rest areas, and allows competitors to retrieve spare kit.

Facilities and services provided include camping, a finisher medal and certificate, a well stocked feed station with refreshments, electronic timing and GPS tracking, toilets and covered rest areas. Participants may stop and rest for any length of time during the event but must enter and exit the course through the designated timing points so laps are recorded correctly. If the clock reaches the chosen race duration while a competitor is on a lap, that lap is counted and the extra time to complete it is used for placing.

Team rules require each team member to complete at least one lap and teams must use the exchange point for changes. Solo runners may have support crews in the camp area but not on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
