Moel Famau 24

Ruthin, United Kingdom • 15 Aug 2026

Event overview

Moel Famau 24 is a multi-hour hill and trail event on the Clwydian Hill of Moel Famau. Competitors use a loop on mountain slopes based at Plas Dolben Farm. The course is a loop of about 7.5 km with about 500 m of ascent per lap. Entrants may take part in either a 12-hour or 24-hour option. Solo runners and teams can enter, and teams must have each member complete at least one lap.

Format and facilities

Participants base themselves in a camp field where tents and vehicles are parked and support crews can gather. The event provides camping with one vehicle pitch, a finisher medal and certificate, electronic timing, GPS tracking, a well-stocked feed station, toilets, showers, and covered rest areas. Runners and walkers may rest as often and as long as they wish; laps and times are recorded only when entering and exiting through the correct timing areas. If a lap is in progress when the chosen time limit is reached, the extra time taken to complete that lap is included in results. Solo entrants must use the solo entry/exit point and teams must use the exchange point to ensure laps are recorded correctly. Race records include solo and team lap counts in 24-hour and 12-hour categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
