Moel Famau 24

Ruthin, United Kingdom • 15 Aug 2026

Event

Moel Famau 24 is a timed hill and trail event on the Clwydian Hill of Moel Famau with the next race on 15/08/2026. Participants complete as many laps as possible of a loop that is approximately 7.5 km with about 500 m of ascent per lap. The event offers 12-hour and 24-hour options and accepts solo runners and team entries. Entry fees range from £65.50 to £170.00. The 24-hour solo category is open to entrants aged 18 and over on 15/08/2026.

Format and facilities

The route is based on the slopes near Plas Dolben Farm. Competitors use a camp field for tents, vehicle parking and support crews. Facilities at the camp field include feed stations and refreshments, electronic timing, GPS tracking, toilets, showers and covered rest areas. Solo runners may have a support crew in their camping area but not on the route. Teams must ensure each registered member completes at least one lap and must use the designated exchange point for entries and exits. Participants may stop for rests as needed but must enter and exit through the correct timing points so laps are recorded. If a final lap extends past the chosen race duration, the extra time for that lap is used for placing in the results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
