Alyn Waters Winter Trails - 5 km & 10 km

Alyn Waters Winter Trails on 5 December 2026 offers fully marked and marshalled trail races at Alyn Waters country park. The event includes a range of terrain with some uphill and downhill sections. The park is described as accessible and the paths are easy to follow.

The races are open to all abilities and have no time limits. All participants will receive a medal and the races are chip timed. Event organisers also run a free children's 1 km dash to provide a family friendly option. A canicross 5 km option is listed among the race categories.

Race organisation aims to provide a friendly atmosphere and visible marshals along the route. Reviews from previous editions note clear signage at times, mixed terrain, and some practical issues such as parking charges, registration delays, and occasional course measurement differences. These points have been reported by attendees and vary between editions.

Distances offered include:

  • 5 km trail
  • 10 km trail
  • Canicross 5 km
  • 1 km children's dash

This edition is presented as the first winter running of these trail races and is scheduled for early December at Alyn Waters country park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
