Winter Wirral Ultra : Charm Bracelet Trail Events
The Winter Wirral Ultra is a circular 36 mile trail event on Saturday 14 November 2026 that starts and finishes at Hooton Memorial Hall (CH66 7NL). The route runs anticlockwise around the Wirral peninsula, largely following the well signposted Wirral Circular and using the Wirral Way for the final 12 miles. The course is mixed terrain with a large proportion of hard surfaces and about 812 ft of total ascent, making it a relatively low-elevation ultra.
The event is fully tracked and entries include a GPS tracker, a finisher medal, and snacks and drinks at the finish. There are five marshaled checkpoints along the route providing water and a selection of soft drinks and food items such as baked goods, fruit, sweets, pretzels and peanuts. The route is partially self-navigational with additional waymarking added for the event.
The organisers accept entrants aged over 20 and allow walkers provided the course is completed within the 12 hour cutoff (approximately a 19 minute mile). Awards include trophies for first male, first female and first non-binary finishers, plus age-category awards for V50, V60 and V70. First aid and event insurance are provided. Entry fees are listed at £64 standard or £62 affiliate, with an optional finishers T-shirt available for £10 and a tree-planting option via Trees Not Tees.
