Overview
The Charm Bracelet Half Marathon is a 14.3-mile (23 km) trail running event. It follows the first half of the Charm Bracelet Marathon route, heading south from Redcar along the King Charles III England Coast Path to finish in the fishing village of Staithes.
The Route
The course is a trail run, with surfaces including mud, sand, rocks, and tree roots. It is not flat, featuring 1591 ft of elevation gain. The route includes coastal paths, sections on sand, and high cliff-top trails. Participants will pass through coastal villages and the 'Circle' sculpture, known as The Charm Bracelet, between miles 7 and 8.
Event Details
The event will take place on Sunday, 12 April 2026. The start time is 09:15. There is a cut-off time of 14:00 at the finish in Staithes, allowing approximately 5 hours to complete the course.
The standard entry fee is £39 (£37 for club affiliates). This fee includes a finisher's medal, a t-shirt, water, and snacks at the finish. Participant Information
- The event is open to participants aged 18 and over.
- It is suitable for runners and quick walkers who can complete the distance within the 5-hour cut-off.
- Dogs are not permitted on the course due to its agricultural nature.
- There will be a marshaled checkpoint at Skinningrove offering water and basic snacks, including vegan options.
- Participants are encouraged to use public transport, with regular bus services available from Staithes back to Redcar.
