Springtide 50k

The Springtide 50 km is a single loop trail ultramarathon based in Arundel, West Sussex, with start and finish at Arundel Football Club near Arundel Castle. The route runs through the South Downs National Park and combines grass trails, farm tracks and forest paths. Key sections named for the route include Houghton Forest, Eartham Wood, Findon, Angmering Park and Wepham Woods, with the finish along the River Arun.

The course is largely non technical and reported as very runnable. Total ascent is around 3,200 ft and the surface is approximately 99% trail and 1% road. The race is fully marked for navigation and uses chip timing and live GPS tracking. It is a UTMB Index event and carries 2 ITRA points. Four aid stations are provided along the route.

Entry is open on a first come, first served basis, with a waitlist once the field is full. Entries close two weeks before race day or when entry limits are reached. Minimum age is 20 years and no qualifier is required. The published entry fee includes a mandatory GPS tracker.

Trail races from Queen Elizabeth Country Park across sections of the South Downs Way, offered at 12K, 25K and 50K, with marked routes, stocked aid stations, marshals and a serviced event village plus chip timing and finish medals.

The Bright Skies - Surrey Hills will take place in Dorking on Sunday 26 July 2026. You can run between 5 and 42 kilometers.
