Springtide 50k

The Springtide event is a single loop 50 km trail race that starts and finishes in the town of Arundel, West Sussex. The route is fully marked and runs largely on grass trails, farm tracks and forest paths through the South Downs National Park, passing Arundel Castle, Houghton Forest, Eartham Wood, Angmering Park and Wepham Woods before returning along the River Arun to the finish.

The course has approximately 3,200 ft of ascent and descent and is described as mainly runnable and non-technical. Terrain is listed as 99% trail and 1% road. There are four staffed aid stations on course, live GPS tracking, chip timing and downloadable race photos. The event is a UTMB Index race worth 2 ITRA points and operates under an ARC permit (ARC/26/0230).

Entry is open without a qualifying requirement to runners aged 20 and over; places are offered first come, first served with a waitlist once full. The listed entry fee is £78 and includes a mandatory GPS tracker. Refund and transfer rules are published: partial refunds are available only up to a stated date, after which refunds are generally not offered except in specific circumstances; deferral and transfer options are subject to deadlines and conditions.
