The North Downs Way 100 is a long-distance trail race organised by Centurion Running and scheduled for 8 August 2026. The route follows the North Downs Way from Farnham in Surrey to Ashford in Kent. The course distance is given as about 100 miles (103 miles / 167 km) with a total ascent of 11,000 ft (3,350 m). The event has a 30 hour overall cut-off and is a Western States qualifier. Course and race details
The race route is primarily on trails - terrain is listed as 80% trail and 20% road - and includes notable sections through Puttenham, Guildford, Ranmore Common, Box Hill, Reigate Hill, Knockholt Pound (the 50 mile point), Detling, Hollingbourne, Harrietsham, Charing and finishes at the Julie Rose Stadium in Ashford. The course is marked with national trail markers, tape, arrows and occasional chalk paint. There are road crossings that are not marshalled.
Support, rules and logistics
Vital statistics list 12 fully stocked aid stations, medical support throughout the weekend, and a listed field size of 250 starters. Drop bags are accepted with a maximum size of 45 x 25 x 25 cm for individual aid stations (larger finish bag allowed) and specific drop locations include Mile 50 (Knockholt Pound), Mile 82 (Detling) and Mile 100 (Ashford). Pacers are permitted from Otford (Mile 54.5) and must travel on foot. Mandatory kit requirements and qualification standards (minimum 50 mile race within 15 hours during the qualifying window) are specified by the organiser.
