The Shere multi-terrain event is a trail running meeting organised by Surrey Trek and Run at Shere Recreation Ground, Upper Street, Shere, Surrey (GU5 9JF). Course and logistics

The 42k route passes notable viewpoints such as Leith Hill, Holmbury Hill, Pitch Hill, St Martha’s Hill and Newlands Corner. All races start and finish at the cricket pavilion. Finishers receive medals and free buffs; there are spot prizes and awards for race winners. On-site provisions include morning coffee, pastries and post-race food. Fortnightly Sunday morning training runs cover sections of the routes. Entries can be taken on the day (cash only), though medals cannot be guaranteed for late entries. Age minimums are 18+ for the 42k, 17+ for the 21k and 16+ for the 10k. Trail runs nearby

Trail running on 31 January 2026 at Hound House Road in Surrey with 10 km and 15 km routes over hilly mixed terrain. Parking, toilets and refreshments are available; entries close 29 January 2026.

Guided 10 km trail run around the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, with summer sunset runs and headtorch group night runs in darker months. Social pace, great views and the chance to try trail gear.

Trail running at Amberley Museum in West Sussex with three waymarked routes on the South Downs Way. Distances range from 6 km to 22 km, with on course outposts, a reusable cup policy and free parking.
