Course and route information
The races use part of the Vanguard Way route. The Vanguard Way is 66 miles (107 km) long and runs from East Croydon to Newhaven, passing through Surrey, Kent and East Sussex. The course passes parkland, woodland and open country, including Selsdon Wood Nature Reserve and the church of St. Mary the Virgin at Farleigh. The route climbs to the North Downs high point at about 260 metres (853 feet) and includes features such as the Nore Hill Chalk Pinnacle, a crossing of the Greenwich Meridian, a footbridge over the M25, the Greensand Ridge and views near Limpsfield.
