SATURN TOO - Midweek Medal Madness Run July 2026

The Midweek Medal Madness Run is a timed challenge held at the Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club in Egham. This event utilizes a 7 hour time limit, allowing participants to determine their own distance by completing multiple laps or partial laps. The course follows a flat route along the River Thames, consisting primarily of tarmac and well-made paths with a very short grass section. The route is fully signed and no navigational experience is required.

A full lap is approximately 7 km (4.37 miles), though this is subject to minor changes based on course conditions. Participants can choose to complete a variety of distances:

  • 3 km (Minimum distance for official finishers)
  • 5 km
  • 21.1 km (Half marathon - 3 laps)
  • 42.2 km (Marathon - 6 laps)
  • 50 km
  • Ultra marathon (7 or more laps)

The event includes an aid station located at the start and finish of each lap, providing a selection of sweet and savoury snacks, fruit, cheese, and vegan options. All finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag, with a specific vegan goody bag available upon request. Runners completing a half marathon or further are also eligible for specific distance pins to attach to their medal ribbon.

The venue HQ provides toilets and changing facilities for participants. A bag drop area is available, though it is not secured. Parking is located nearby at the Runnymede Pleasure Grounds on a pay-on-exit basis. Participation is open to runners aged 12 and over, with specific distance limits based on UK Athletics age restrictions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
