Saturn Too - Midweek Medal Madness Run July 2026

The event takes place on Friday, 24 July 2026 and is organised as a seven hour time challenge that lets runners choose their own distance. The minimum distance to be an official finisher is 3 km. The standard lap is 4.37 miles (7 km) but this may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. Each lap includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to allow younger runners to comply with UK Athletics distance rules.

Distances and common targets:

  • Minimum distance 3 km
  • Half marathon equals 3 laps
  • Marathon equals 6 laps
  • Ultra equals 7 or more laps
  • 50 km option available

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Surfaces are mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section, so road shoes are suitable all year. The regular course may be adjusted after a health and safety review.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal and a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is provided. Distance pins are available for half-marathon and longer distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue throughout the event. Parking is at the Runnymede Pleasure Grounds pay on exit carpark. A bag area is provided but is not secure. Headphones are allowed. The event is managed by Saturn Too Limited. Maximum entries 300. Entries close 23 July 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
