Race The Light at Wendover Woods
Race The Light takes place on 18 July 2026 at Wendover Woods, Upper Icknield Way, Wendover, HP22 5NQ, Buckinghamshire. The event is organised by Runaway Racing and licensed by the Trail Running Association, held under UKA rules.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Chilterns Neuro Centre, which supports people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's and stroke survivors.
Distance options:
- 10K Trail - 250m plus elevation; hilly woodland trails, no road crossings.
- 5K Trail - 125m plus elevation; undulating woodland paths.
- 1.5K Accessible Trail - loop on a fully accessible path for wheelchair users and under 12s.
Both the 5K and 10K routes run entirely on trails within Wendover Woods with no gates or road crossings. The course is fully marked and marshalled using orange arrow markers and ribbons, so carrying a map or GPX is not required. A water stop is placed at approximately halfway on the 10K; cups and bins are provided. Additional aid on course includes sweets at the 5K.
Key event details include a maximum of 500 runners, trail terrain, chip timing with live results, medical support, finishers medals, age category prizes and awards for the top three male and female finishers, discounted car parking and a bag drop.
