Race The Light at Wendover Woods

Race The Light at Wendover Woods is an evening trail running event held at Wendover Woods on 18 July 2026. The event raises funds for the Chilterns Neuro Centre, which supports people affected by multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and stroke.

Distances offered:

  • 10 km trail with about 250 m of climb
  • 5 km trail with about 125 m of climb
  • 1.5 km accessible loop for wheelchair users, walkers and under 12s

Both the 5 km and 10 km routes run entirely on trails within Wendover Woods with no road crossings or gates. The course is fully marked and marshalled with orange arrow markers and ribbons, and a water station is provided roughly halfway on the 10 km route. Cups will be available and bins are provided.

The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules. Entries include chip timing with live results, a finishers medal, medical support, marked and marshalled routes, discounted car parking and a bag drop. Maximum field size is 500 runners. Age minimums apply: 12 for the 5 km and 16 for the 10 km. Dogs and canicross are not permitted. A downloadable Runner’s Guide and GPX files for the routes are available. The Phoenix Running - Slough will take place in Slough on Thursday 9 July 2026. You can run 5 miles.

A 7-hour timed event on 10 July 2026 at Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club, Egham, offering flexible self-paced laps along the River Thames with medals, goody bags and aid stations.

Phoenix Fridays offers a flexible Friday run with a "rock up and go" start. Choose your distance on a flat, timed 5.3km loop along the Thames towpath. All finishers can pick from a selection of signature medals.

A trail ultramarathon from Lewknor to Avebury in Oxfordshire with 100 km and two 50 km stage options, following the Ridgeway through historic sites and offering pit stops, chip timing and basecamp facilities.
