Race The Light at Wendover Woods

Race The Light at Wendover Woods takes place on 18 July 2026 at Wendover Woods, Wendover HP22 5NQ. The event raises funds for the Chilterns Neuro Centre, which supports people affected by multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and stroke. All proceeds from the event will be donated directly to the Centre.

The distance options are:

  • 10K Trail: undulating woodland loop with about 250m elevation.
  • 5K Trail: 5 km woodland route with about 125m elevation.
  • 1.5K Accessible Trail: accessible loop for wheelchair users walkers and under 12s.

Both the 5K and 10K routes take place entirely on trails with no road crossings or gates. The course is fully marked and marshalled using orange arrow markers and ribbons. There will be a water station approximately halfway on the 10K route and cups will be provided. Terrain is trail underfoot and the event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules. Maximum field is 500 runners. Minimum ages are 12 for the 5K and 16 for the 10K. Dogs and canicross are not permitted.
