Race The Light at Wendover Woods

Race The Light at Wendover Woods takes place on Saturday, 18th July 2026 at Wendover Woods (HP22 5NQ). The event supports the Chilterns Neuro Centre and all proceeds from the race will be donated to the centre. The event is held under TRA/UKA rules and is limited to a maximum of 500 runners. Dogs and canicross are not permitted.

Course, distances and facilities

  • 10K Trail - hilly route, approximately 250 m elevation gain.
  • 5K Trail - approximately 125 m elevation gain.
  • 1.5K Trail - fully accessible loop for wheelchair users, walkers and under 12s only.

Both the 5K and 10K are run entirely on trail with no road crossings or gates. The course is fully marked and marshalled; participants do not need to carry a map or GPX. There is a water stop at about halfway on the 10K and cups will be available. The event provides chip timing with live results, a finisher medal, medical support, discounted car parking and a bag drop. Minimum ages are 12 for the 5K and 16 for the 10K.
