Race The Light at Wendover Woods

Race The Light is a trail running event at Wendover Woods, Wendover, on 18 July 2026. The event raises funds for the Chilterns Neuro Centre, which supports people affected by multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and stroke survivors. All proceeds from the event are donated directly to the Centre.

Both the 5K and 10K routes take place entirely on trails within Wendover Woods with no road crossings or gates. The course is fully marked and marshalled; participants do not need to carry a map or GPX. The route includes flowing paths with undulation; climbs are followed by longer descents. A water stop is situated at approximately halfway through the 10K, with cups provided and bins available. Additional aid provision includes water and sweets on course.

Key event details include a maximum of 500 runners, trail terrain, and licences from the Trail Running Association with the race held under UKA rules. Entry age limits apply: 5K minimum age 12, 10K minimum age 16, and the 1.5K is for under 12s, wheelchair users and walkers only. Dogs and canicross are not permitted.
