The MTC Windsor Ultra is a point-to-point ultramarathon of 47 miles held on 8 August 2026. The route has a total ascent of 155 m and total descent of 182 m. Entry for an individual is listed at £90. All finishers receive a bespoke Windsor Ultra medal and one of a bespoke technical t-shirt, mug or hat. The first male and female finisher each receive a bespoke Windsor Ultra trophy. Route

The race starts outside The Catherine Wheel, Henley-on-Thames (RG9 2AR) and finishes outside Travelodge Kingston Central (KT1 2PD). The route follows the Thames Path and passes notable points including Marlow Lock, Cookham Moor, Maidenhead Bridge, Dorney (Thames Field), Boveney Lock, Windsor Racecourse, Brocas Meadow and Windsor Bridge, Runnymede, Bellweir Lock, Staines Bridge, Queen Mary Reservoir, Shepperton Lock, Walton Lane and Teddington before leaving the Thames Path toward Kingston.

Checkpoints, rules and kit

There are three check-points on course supplying water and basic nutrition. Example items include malt loaf, cakes, sandwiches, dried fruit, squash, cola and water; organisers say they will endeavour to cater for gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian dietary choices if advised. Competitors may leave drop bags at check-points. Entrants must be at least 20 years old on race day and must be self-sufficient for transport to the start and from the finish. Mandatory items include a GPX device or downloaded route and a mobile phone. Competitors must maintain an average of 4.0 miles per hour overall; falling below this minimum may result in removal from the race. Deposits and payments are non-refundable.
