The Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run

Saturn Running stages a themed bobble hat running event at Unit 2, Thames Edge, 15-18 Clarence St, Staines upon Thames. The event is organised as a 7 hour Time Challenge on a looped course along a stretch of the River Thames. The minimum recognised distance is 5 km, which is part of a lap. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles (approximately 7 km) but the organiser notes the loop may be adjusted to about 3.28 miles depending on course conditions.

The course is fully signed and follows mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section, so road shoes are suitable year round. Navigation experience is not required. The Time Challenge format allows entrants to complete as many laps as they wish within the seven hour period; three laps equate to a half marathon and six laps to a marathon, with seven or more laps for an ultra. A 50 km option is also available.

Included items and on-course facilities are listed: a finisher medal, a bobble hat, a goody bag with a vegan option, a full aid table with vegan options, toilets, bag drop, and distance pins for half marathon distance and above. There are toilets at the venue but no dedicated changing rooms or showers. Bag drop is not secure. Headphones are permitted. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, TW18 4TP. Final race instructions and number pick up are handled on the day and by email in the week before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
