Runaway Racing Invitational 10K
The Runaway Racing Invitational 10K is an end of season trail running championship held at Wendover Woods on 6 December 2026. The event uses a marked and marshalled trail route that includes steep climbs and long descents, with a total distance of 10 km and about 295 m of elevation gain.
The event base is Wendover Woods, Upper Icknield Way, HP22 5NQ. The venue provides a main car park, toilets in the main building and a grass area by the cafe used for registration and the race base. Wendover train station is the closest station and is around 2.5 km from the race base.
Entry is limited to a maximum of 200 runners and is open to runners who finished within the top 20% at Runaway Racing events during 2026; age minimum is 16. Event volunteers may also be eligible to take part. The race is licensed by the Trail Running Association (licence #8217) and held under UKA rules.
Race services include chip timing with live results, a bag drop and course marking using orange arrow markers and ribbons. Organisers recommend trail running shoes as the route will be muddy. The recorded fastest times on the course are 00:39:41 for men and 00:46:10 for women, both set in 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
