BigHeat "CAMP-FIRE" is a weekend trail running festival on 18 and 19 July 2026 at Mill Farm, Lurgashall, Petworth GU28 9ER. It is the third event in the Classic Element Trail Series and is themed on the element Fire. The event comprises single-lap trail routes that pass locations such as The Serpent Trail, Blackdown and The Temple of the Winds. The event village will offer camping, yoga, live music, food and drink, showers, massages, a wild sauna and firepits. Canicross entries are not accepted.

Cut-off times are published per distance: 50 km - 9 hours; marathon - 7.5 hours; 16 mile - 4.5 hours; 12 km - 2.5 hours; LittleFeet 2 km - 75 minutes. A bag drop tent will be available on both days.

Camping pitches are available for Friday and Saturday nights - one pitch (max two small tents or one large tent or one campervan) with one vehicle per pitch - £40; no electric hook-up; water and shower/toilet access provided. Premier glamping in Bell Tents for two nights is offered at £200 per tent, sleeping four.

All runners must carry at least 500 ml of fluid. Aid stations will be stocked with snacks, vegan options, water and flat coke and will provide PH 1000 electrolyte drink (1,000 mg sodium per litre). Join a magical evening run through parkland past the illuminated Cowdray Ruins at the Cowdray Winter Night Run. Head torches are mandatory and there are 5 km and 10 km distances plus dog friendly canicross and kids races.

Run a scenic 50k through the Surrey Hills on a fully signed out and back trail with food stations and live timing. Friendly for newcomers to ultras yet rewarding for seasoned trail runners.

Join the Christmas Cracker at Newlands Corner on 7 December for pantomime themed family score orienteering and colour coded Orange Green and Blue courses. Guildford Orienteers will provide festive refreshments and friendly guidance.
