BigHeat "CAMP-FIRE" : CampFIRE weekend festival

BigHeat "CAMP-FIRE" is a weekend trail running festival held at Mill Farm in Lurgashall, Petworth (GU28 9ER). The event is the third in the Classic Element Trail Series and is themed on the element Fire. Routes run on single loops across dusty tracks, sun-baked forests, open sandy plains and sections of The Serpent Trail, with notable locations including Blackdown and The Temple of the Winds. All courses start and finish at the event village at Mill Farm.

The weekend includes campsite and glamping options, on-site showers and toilets, live music in the event village, yoga sessions, massages, a wild sauna, food and drink stalls, and an event village with firepits. Camping pitches accommodate up to two small tents, one large tent or one campervan; premier glamping is offered with bell tents that sleep four.

Registration and race bib collection take place at the event registration tent. A bag drop is available on both days. Runners must carry at least 500 ml of fluid and are advised to download the GPX route files; the event is marked but runners should be prepared for potential route issues. Aid stations will be stocked with sweet and savoury options, including vegan choices, and will provide water and flat coke; the event operates as a cupless event. Precision Fuel & Hydration supplies PH 1000 electrolyte and two PFH gels are available at registration. Runners may opt to have a tree planted instead of a finishers medal via Trees Not Tees. A guided 13 miles trail run around the Surrey Hills starting and finishing in Guildford, visiting St Martha's Church and parts of the North Downs Way. Group paced with a suggested average of about 10 minutes per mile on trails.

A timed riverside event on a 5.3 km out and back Thames course where runners choose how many laps to complete within a seven hour limit. Ten pound entry supports the Rays of Sunshine charity and a double sided medal is awarded.

A 24-hour relay at Wasing Park, Reading on 6–7 June 2026 with Solo, Pair, and Team entries on an 8 km trail lap, event camping and an event village, plus charity entry options and tiered team pricing.

Backyard Ultra at Chilton Manor Farm in Chilton Candover is a private, sold out backyard ultra on a 6.706 km loop around Godsfield Copse. Runners repeat a 4.16666 mile lap each hour until only one runner completes the next lap.
