BigHeat "CAMP-FIRE" - Classic Element trail weekend

BigHeat is the third event in the Classic Element Trail Series, inspired by the element Fire. The event takes place across a weekend on 18th and 19th July 2026 at Mill Farm in the West Sussex village of Lurgashall. Routes run on single-lap trail courses that pass along winding dusty tracks, sun-baked forests, open sandy plains and named sections such as The Serpent Trail, Blackdown and The Temple of the Winds.

Racing is split across two days. Saturday features the Marathon and a 50 km Ultramarathon. Sunday includes a 12 km and a 16 mile race plus the LittleFeet 2 km Flower Trail fun run through meadows and farmland.

Distances and entry prices:

  • 50 km Ultramarathon - £65
  • Marathon - £56
  • 16 mile - £42
  • 12 km - £32
  • LittleFeet 2 km Flower Trail - £10 (register; payment at registration, cash only)

Camping is available Friday and Saturday nights. A standard camping pitch is £40 (one vehicle per pitch, water point available, no electric hook-up) and premier glamping in bell tents is offered for two nights at £200; bell tents sleep four and include bedding and basic furnishings. Event facilities include showers, toilets, a registration tent, a bag drop, live music and food and drink stalls. Aid stations will be stocked with snacks, vegan options, water and flat coke; the event is cupless. Runners must carry at least 500 ml of fluid and are advised to download GPX route files. Precision Fuel & Hydration provides PH 1000 on course and two PFH gels are available at registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
