Brutal - Halloween at Hogmoor
This is an evening Halloween running event at Hogmoor on Saturday 31st October. The site is a former Army area now used for recreation and described as a purpose built Brutal playground formed by past military use.
The course uses natural terrain with short sandy hills, areas of mud and shallow water. The running area is scattered with oversized spooky human statues. There is a playground on site. Fancy dress is actively encouraged. Races take place after dark so carrying a torch or head torch is advised.
Distances offered:
- 3.3K kids loop; children aged 10 and under must be accompanied
- 6.6K two laps of the course
- 10K three laps of the course
- 6.6K Canicross two laps, dog attached to runner
Adults may run an initial lap with a child and then continue on for additional laps if entered in a longer distance. Juniors are defined as under 16 on race day. Minimum ages: 10K requires age 13 or over, 6.6K requires age 10 or over.
Onsite facilities include free parking and refreshments. A medal is awarded to all finishers. Car sharing is noted as available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
