Brutal Halloween at Hogmoor
This is an evening Halloween running event held at Hogmoor on Saturday 31st October. The course uses a former army and recreational area with short sandy hills, areas of mud and shallow water. The route is scattered with oversized human statues and the site includes a playground.
Multiple race options are offered on a looped course. Distances available:
- 3.3K kids loop
- 6.6K two laps for adults and juniors
- 10K three laps for adults and juniors
- 6.6K Canicross two laps for competitors with dogs
Age and accompaniment rules are specified. Juniors are classed as under 16 on race day. Minimum ages include 13 for the 10K and 10 for the 6.6K. Children aged 10 and under on the kids course must be accompanied by an adult. Adult runners may run the first lap with a child and then continue for additional laps if required.
The event encourages fancy dress and will take place after dark so participants need to bring a torch or head torch. Parking at the venue is free and refreshments will be available on site. A medal is provided to all finishers. Entry categories distinguish Senior (39 and under) and Veteran (40 and over). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
