About the race
The event is an evening Halloween run at Hogmoor on Saturday 31st October. It uses an open recreational area that was formerly used by the Army and features varied terrain including short sandy hills, areas of mud and shallow water, and several oversized human statues.
There are multiple course options and a separate canicross category. Distances:
- 3.3 km kids race (children aged 10 and under must be accompanied)
- 6.6 km two‑lap option
- 10 km three‑lap option
- 6.6 km canicross
A playground is on site for children. Fancy dress is encouraged and the course is expected to be run after dark, so participants should bring a torch. Parking at the venue is free and refreshments will be available on site. All finishers receive a medal.
Entry fees vary by distance, age category, and booking date. Age rules in place: juniors are under 16 on race day; minimum ages are 13 for the 10 km, 10 for the 6.6 km, and children aged 10 and under must be accompanied for the 3.3 km. Age categories classify 39 and under as Senior and 40 and over as Veteran.
