Midweek Medal Madness Run July 2026

This event, organised by Saturn Too as part of the Saturn Running series, is a seven hour Time Challenge that gives participants control over the distance they cover. The minimum official finisher distance is 3 km. The standard lap measures 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be adjusted to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap to support UK Athletics age rules.

Distances available include:

  • 3 km minimum finisher distance
  • 7 km full lap (4.37 miles) subject to change
  • Half marathon equals 3 laps
  • Marathon equals 6 laps
  • 50 km
  • Ultra equals 7 or more laps

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Approximately 60 percent of the route is on well-made path or tarmac; the remainder is grass and light trail that can become muddy. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes are an option for extra grip.

Finishers completing at least 3 km receive a medal. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra achievements. Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start and finish of each lap offering savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.

Venue facilities at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court include toilets but no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park in Staines. Race registration and number pick up take place on the day. Bags may be left at the start and finish area but storage is not secure. Headphones are permitted and the route follows public footpaths. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
