Harting Multi-Terrain '10' - War Memorial Sports Ground, South Harting
This is a volunteer run 10-mile multi-terrain race on private lanes, gravel tracks, bridleways and footpaths in the South Downs National Park. The course has mile markers and two water stations and uses precision chip timing from Emit UK. Entrants should be capable of completing the course within 2 hours 30 minutes; runners behind schedule at the second water station (6.5 miles) may be asked to withdraw and be returned to the finish by car.
All competitors receive a unique medal at the finish. Every finisher has a chance to win one of two pairs of Hoka trainers donated by Hoka, and trophies and cash prizes are awarded to 1st to 3rd male and female and to 1st male and female in vets categories V40, V50, V60 and V70. The event supports the Rosemary Foundation hospice at home charity.
Race HQ at the War Memorial Sports Ground provides free parking on the sports field, portable toilets in the Pavilion, supervised storage for bags and a selection of teas, cold drinks and homemade cakes. Race numbers are distributed on the day at the registration desk which opens at 08:45. Entry fees are non refundable but entries can be transferred up to midnight on the Friday before the event. Participants must be at least 18 years old to enter the main race. Dogs, buggies and over or in ear headphones are not permitted; bone conducting headphones are allowed.
