Phoenix Running - Hampshire Anniversary Bash

Phoenix Running Hampshire stages a timed, lap-based running event along The Itchen Way in Winchester. The course is professionally measured and holds a Road Permit. The route is an out-and-back that crosses Hockley Viaduct and is based at Garnier Road Car Park with additional parking at St. Catherine's Park & Ride a short walk away.

Participants may complete as many 2.62 mile laps as they wish within the event time limit. Typical lap counts relate to common distances:

  • 2.62 mile out and back lap
  • Five laps equal a half marathon
  • Ten laps equal a marathon
  • Eleven or more laps for an ultra

The event provides timed results and a bespoke finisher's medal for everyone who completes at least one lap. There is a selection of pick n mix medals from past events available to choose from. An aid station offers sweet and savoury items, including a notable potato option, with vegan choices available.

Entry prices are listed for affiliated and unaffiliated runners. Organisers operate flexible rock up and run start arrangements and say they can accommodate special start time requests depending on planned distance. The organiser states that participants in attended and virtual formats will receive a physical giveaway medal or memento. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
