The North Downs 50 is a looped trail event based at Guildford with start and finish at Loseley Park. The event offers multiple distance options on routes that follow parts of the North Downs Way and surrounding Surrey countryside. Basecamp facilities include camping and adjacent university-style rooms available as bookable extras.

Support, services and categories

Rest stops are provided approximately every 12.5 km, with major stops at about 25 km and 50 km. Catering includes regular snack stops every 12.5 km, a meal every 25 km, hot drinks, water and energy drinks at all stops, and a hot food finishers meal. Medical, paramedic and first aid teams are on site, with podiatrists and massage staff at rest stops. Routes are marked with directional arrows and glow-sticks for night sections, and an app provides Google route maps and GPS tracking. The event uses a timing system that scans progress at rest stops. Entry categories include an Ultra March option for walkers targeting 50 km under 12 hours, a Trailblazerz category for faster competitive runners, and a Solo Challenger start option.
