London Backyard Ultra

The London Backyard Ultra is an endurance event held at the Frylands Wood Scout Outdoor Centre. The competition follows a specific format where participants must complete a distance of four miles every hour, on the hour. The event continues until only one runner remains to complete a final loop alone.

Participants are provided with a dedicated pitch to set up a private rest area between loops. For those without a personal setup, a limited rest marquee is available. The venue facilities include hot showers and parking for one car per participant, which is also available for visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

The entry fee includes several amenities and support services:

  • Participant medals for all runners
  • Winner trophy and medal
  • Provision of hot and cold water
  • Selection of drinks and snacks
  • Professional photography and videography

The event takes place in a wooded outdoor environment, offering a stationary base for runners to recover before the start of each new hourly loop. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
