Woldingham Full and Half Marathon

The Woldingham Full and Half Marathon are trail and road events based at Woldingham School / Marden Park, Caterham CR3 7YA. The course is an out and back route that starts and finishes at the school. The half consists of one lap of the route and covers 13.1 miles; marathon runners complete the lap twice.

The route follows a private school drive into a green valley and uses sections of the North Downs Way and Vanguard Way. Runners pass wooded trails, open fields, a chalk pit, steps and benches, and a variety of trail surfaces. There are several road crossings and stretches alongside roads such as Chalkpit Lane and Limpsfield Road, which require care. The route includes short steep climbs and longer rolling hills.

Event provision includes multiple aid stations, volunteers and marshals, and a finish goody bag that typically contains a race tee shirt, snacks and a medal. Past entries and reports mention clear signposting and a downloadable GPX file for navigation. Some editions have noted parking and access restrictions at the venue and occasional issues at road crossings or with livestock on the driveway during the start, so attention to route notes is advised.
