The Derwent Reservoir 5 & 10 Milers is a popular winter running event returning for its seventh year, offering participants a choice between 5 or 10-mile routes around the scenic Derwent Reservoir, located on the border of Durham and Northumberland. The courses feature a mix of terrain, including firm trails, footpaths, and woodland areas. The 5-mile route is Canicross friendly, allowing one controlled dog per runner, while the 10-mile route includes road sections. All finishers receive Wild Deer merchandise, a medal, snacks, and drinks. Parking or bus transfer charges will apply starting in 2026.
