Derwent Reservoir 10 Miler

Consett, United Kingdom • 11 Apr 2027

Derwent Reservoir 10 & 5 Miler

The event returns for its eighth year in 2027 and offers trail running options around Derwent Reservoir, located at Edmundbyers, Consett, DH8 9TT. The reservoir is owned by Northumbrian Water and sits on the border of County Durham and Northumberland. Routes use mixed terrain with firm trail sections and some closed roads.

  • 5 mile: all on firm trails, canicross friendly with one controlled dog per runner.
  • 10 mile: a full lap of the reservoir on closed roads and firm trails, not suitable for canicross.

Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. There is a 2.5 hour cut off for the 10 mile due to road closures. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An event T shirt is available to purchase for £12 during sign up. Entry fees are listed for the two distances, with the 10 mile priced higher than the 5 mile.

Parking is available on site with a required parking pass priced at £3 per vehicle. The organiser recommends sharing vehicles where possible to reduce the number of passes needed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
