Gateshead Trail 10k
The Gateshead Trail 10k is scheduled for 29 August 2026. The race covers 10 km of multi‑terrain trails through Derwent Walk Country Park. Paths described as largely hard packed make the off road sections easier to run, and the route includes only a few mildly challenging inclines. The start and finish are at Blaydon Rugby Club.
Entries open on 26 April 2026 at 18:00 and close on 27 August 2026. The minimum age to enter is 15 and the entry fee is £29. The event organiser is Gateshead Trail 10k with event services provided by Kandoo Events.
Entry includes chip timing with a personalised number, a bespoke designer finishers medal, free professional photos on Facebook, post race goodies, free onsite parking, instant live results, friendly marshalls, and a qualified medical team. The start and finish area features DJ and MC coverage from Frisk Radio and a range of street food vendors including hot sandwiches and wood fired pizza. Facilities include toilets, an onsite retailer, and a bar in the rugby club.
