Heart and Soul Fest 2026

Heart and Soul Fest is a two day fitness and endurance festival at Druridge Bay Country Park in Northumberland, held Friday 31 July to Saturday 1 August. The event gathers the North East community for endurance events, functional fitness, music, and on-site vendors.

Races and challenges include the Heart Break Lake Ultra with timed loop options and the HSR Hybrid, a combined functional fitness and endurance format.

Festival features include live music and DJs throughout the day, a licensed bar, street food stalls, and fitness vendors. The programme includes a Saturday night afterparty. New offerings for 2026 include a recovery zone with saunas and ice baths, and wellness activities such as yoga and pilates.

The weekend runs across two days. Friday covers registration, the arena launch, and the start of the Heart Break Lake 24 hour race. Saturday presents the full festival programme with the Heart Break Lake 12 hour and 4 hour races, HSR Hybrid events, wellness sessions, vendors, music, and the afterparty. Arena passes are used to access the site and events. Heart Break Lake entries are available as solo entries, pairs, or teams of up to 10. Camping is available for Friday and Saturday. Trail runs nearby

Test your endurance at West Benridge Farm in this official Backyard Ultra event. Complete a 6.7 km loop every hour on a flat trail course until only one runner remains standing.

A coastal race on 19 April 2026 from South Shields Pier to Roker Pier, about 7 miles along cliff paths past Marsden Rock and Souter Lighthouse. Entries open 2 February with separate fees for UKA registered and non registered runners.

An 8 miles trail race on 19 April 2026 around Yeavering Bell and along St Cuthbert's Way, finishing at Ad Gefrin Distillery. The course is fully marked and runners are transported to the start.

The The Tour de Humbleton Trail Race will take place in Wooler on Sunday 19 April 2026.
