DVRC Relays: Andrew Callcott Memorial Race

This is a team relay held on Thursday 16 July with Race HQ at Swalwell Juniors Football Club, Spa Well Rd, Winlaton Mill, Blaydon-on-Tyne NE21 6RU. The race start and finish are at Derwenthaugh Country Park, adjacent to the Race HQ.

The race format is teams of three, for entrants aged 16 and over. Each team must include at least one male and one female. The entry fee is £18 per team. The closing date for registrations is 30 June. Entrants are asked to send their team name and runner details to the event organiser; bank details will be provided to secure entries.

Registration will take place at the Race HQ. Limited parking is available at the Race HQ; additional parking is available near the race start, at Land of Oak and Iron, and at a car park near the tennis courts. The event bar will be open throughout the evening. Runners will receive a pie after the race; vegan pies can be arranged via the team manager.

Prizes will be presented at the Race HQ for the first three teams and for the fastest male and female legs. Race results will be published on the club website as soon as they are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

A fell race at Steel Rigg car park in the North Pennines on 13 June 2026, featuring a 7.1 km course with 189 m climb. Entry is on the day for £5, and a 1.8 km junior race is held for 8 to 16 year olds.

A 7 hour timed trail along the River Wear with a fully signed loop, finishers medals and goody bags. Runners choose distances from a 3 km minimum up to 50 km with age limits and distance pins available.

A 7 hour trail Time Challenge on Sunday 21 June 2026 in Durham along the River Wear with cathedral views. Distances range from a 3 km minimum up to marathon, 50 km and ultra, with medals, pins and goody bags for finishers.

Trail runs at Chopwell Woods near Rowlands Gill offering 5, 10 and 15 mile routes with live chip timing and canicross access. Finishers receive a medal, a burger or alternative and a drink; on-site parking is very limited.
