LSD Back Yard Ultra 2027

LSD Back Yard Ultra returns in 2027 at West Benridge Farm, Morpeth NE61 3RZ, set in the Northumbrian countryside. The event follows the official backyard ultra format made famous by Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra: runners complete one loop every hour, on the hour.

The course is a 4.167 mile loop that includes farm track, trail and woodland surfaces. Runners must complete the loop within the hour to earn a place on the next start line; failing to finish in time or choosing to stop ends that runner’s race. The event continues until a single runner remains and is crowned Last Standing.

The event includes a festival-style headquarters and athlete village at the central hub. Facilities listed for the HQ include live DJ sets in the barn, food vendors and coffee vendors, and space for crews and spectators. The schedule and atmosphere change as the field reduces over time and running continues into the evening.

Special entry offers are available: winners of a Backyard Ultra in the past two years are offered free entry, and runners who completed 30 yards or more at a previous Backyard Ultra are eligible for 50 percent off entry when they provide proof of result.
