The 53k course passes Derwent Water, goes through Seathwaite, ascends Scafell Pike and drops into Wasdale, skirts Kirk Fell, crosses Honister Pass, summits High Spy and descends via Catbells to Keswick. The 23k course runs from Keswick past Derwent Water and Manesty, climbs High Spy and returns via Catbells.

The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and will follow UK Athletics rules. Members of UKA affiliated running clubs can claim a £2 entry discount at checkout. Minimum ages are 20 years for the 53k and 17 years for the 23k.
