Course and logistics

Races use the Monsal Trail, a former Midland Railway line that starts at the old Bakewell station site. The route passes through four tunnels and crosses the Monsal viaduct. The trail is traffic free and described as multi-terrain and undulating. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available for download.

There is no public car parking at Bakewell Station other than spaces for disabled motorists. Two large pay-and-display car parks are about 500 metres from the station. Hassop Station, about a mile along the trail, provides parking, spectator facilities, and a café.
