Allendale Challenge

The Allendale Challenge is a renowned 26-mile challenge walk and run held in Northumberland, starting and finishing at Allendale Village Hall. Organized by the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team, it is considered one of the toughest challenge walks in the UK, featuring a demanding anti-clockwise route through the North Pennines' peat bogs and hills such as Hard Rigg, Black Hill, and Kilhope Law. The event attracts up to 750 participants annually and offers both walking and running options.
