Event Overview

The Charm Bracelet Marathon is a trail running event covering 26.5 miles along the north east coast. The route starts at Redcar Beach Base in Redcar and finishes in the fishing town of Whitby.

Course Details

The course follows the Cleveland Way, passing coastal villages, running on sand, and offering cliff-top views. Participants will pass the "Circle" sculpture, affectionately known as The Charm Bracelet, between miles 7 and 8. The terrain includes mud, sand, rocks, and tree roots. The total elevation gain over the 26.57-mile route is 3263 feet.

Event Logistics

The event has a 10-hour cutoff time to accommodate walkers. There are 300 places available.

Awards

Trophies are awarded for the first male, female, and non-binary finishers. Additional trophies are awarded for the first male and female finishers in the 50, 60, and 70 age categories.
