Hardmoors 26.2 Farndale - Sunday 9 August 2026

Hardmoors 26.2 Farndale is a set of circular trail races based at Hutton Le Hole Village Hall, YO62 6UA, on Sunday 9 August 2026. The event is limited to 400 entrants and offers three distances:

  • 29 miles Trail Marathon
  • 16.5 miles Half Marathon
  • 8.3 miles Trail 10k

The courses are not fully marked. Competitors receive downloadable route descriptions, maps and GPX files and are required to print and carry a map and route description for navigation. There will be a course sweeper and marshals at checkpoints; runners must report to marshals and surrender their race number if they retire.

Mandatory safety equipment must be carried for the full and half routes and checked at registration. Required items include a printed route description and map, a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat and gloves, capacity to carry 500 ml of fluid, a survival bag and a foil blanket, plus pins or a race belt for the bib. The 10k has a reduced kit list that still includes a printed map, survival bag, foil blanket and a way to carry 500 ml of fluid. Failure to carry mandatory kit will result in disqualification.

Parking is marshalled in a large field near the village and costs £4 for the day. Camper van and caravan parking is available for a fee and must be pre booked. Dogs are not permitted. Medals are provided and a race t shirt is available for an additional fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
