Hardmoors 26.2 Farndale Trail Races
Hardmoors 26.2 Farndale Trail Races are held from Hutton Le Hole Village Hall in Hutton Le Hole YO62 6UA. The event offers three off road route options:
- 29 miles route
- 16.5 miles route
- 8.3 miles route
Entry is capped at 330 participants and fees start from £31. Each route has a published total ascent of 4200, 2300 and 1130 feet respectively and time limits of 9, 6 and 4 hours respectively. The event operates under an ARC permit (ARC 27/0046).
Parking is provided in a marshalled field about 100 yards north of the village hall, with over 400 spaces and a day charge of £4. A North York Moors Authority car park is also available nearby for a separate charge. Campervan and motorhome parking is available in the car park field for a fee per unit per night; basic services such as a fresh water tap, elsan waste disposal and portable toilets are provided but there are no shower facilities.
Routes are not fully marked. Competitors must download and carry printed route descriptions and maps and may use GPX files. Mandatory kit is checked at registration and must be carried for the duration of the event; required items include a printed route description and map, waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, capacity to carry 500 ml fluid, survival bag, foil blanket and means to attach a race bib. The race is cupless and runners should bring their own cup. No dogs, no refunds, and transfers are subject to the event rules and deadlines.
