The event lists entry fee categories for attached, unattached and relay entries.

Course, rules and logistics

About 95% of the route follows the Cleveland Way National Trail. There are multiple checkpoints on the route and published time limits at key points: Kildale 4 hours, Clay Bank 6 hours, Osmotherley 9.5 hours, White Horse 13.5 hours and finish 16 hours. The race is designed to be run unsupported; basic food and water are provided at some checkpoints and hot drinks at a minimum of two checkpoints. Two small non-returnable drop bags are allowed at Kildale (11 miles) and Osmotherley (30 miles). A coach option is available to transfer runners from the finish to the start for those who book it, for a fee.

There is a strict mandatory kit list to be carried for the full race and random spotchecks. Missing certain items carries time penalties while lack of required waterproofs or a survival bag leads to disqualification. Support crews are not allowed; one support runner is permitted from Sutton Bank to the finish but may not carry the runner's equipment. Categories include male, female, veteran, non-binary and relay prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
