Othnesbery’s Revenge Half Marathon is a trail running event on Sunday 16 August 2026 in the North York Moors National Park. The race is organised by SilverBack Trails and is a half marathon of approximately 13.1 miles. Entry is limited to 50 participants. The minimum age on the day is 16. Entry fee is £20. Entries open 1 December 2025 and close 10 August 2026. There are no entries on the day. Transfers are allowed up to one week before the event; refunds are not given.

Course, kit and logistics

The route runs on forest tracks and heather-clad moorland and includes an ascent of Roseberry Topping, also called Othnesbery, and a section at Odin's Seat. The event has a 4.5 hour cut off. The course will have marshals and some flags for navigation, and entrants will receive a GPX file and a master route map at registration. Parking is in the car park below Roseberry Topping; participants are responsible for parking charges. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a certificate. An optional event technical T-shirt is available for £18.

Each entrant must carry mandatory kit including a waterproof jacket, hat or gloves, emergency bivvy bag, charged mobile phone, at least 500 ml fluid, at least 120 g emergency food, a working compass and an OS map.
