Othnesbery's Revenge Half Marathon MMXXVI

SilverBack Trails stages a trail half marathon of circa 13.1 miles across the North York Moors National Park. The route runs over forest tracks and heather clad moorland and includes climbs up Roseberry Topping with a notable section at Odins Seat. The event has a five hour cut off and places are limited to 50 entrants.

Aid and navigation support on the course includes a checkpoint offering water, fizzy pop and snacks, additional refreshments at the finish, some marshals and flagged sections, and a route GPX file for entrants. A master route map will be available at registration. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal and a route certificate.

Mandatory personal kit is required and may be spot checked; failure to carry mandatory items can result in withdrawal. Required items include a waterproof jacket with taped seams unless using Paramo, hat or buff and gloves, an emergency bivvy bag, a charged mobile phone with mapping apps recommended, at least 500 ml of fluid and 120 g of emergency food, a working compass, and OS Explorer 26 or Harvey's North Yorkshire Moors map.

Parking is in the car park below Roseberry Topping and participants are responsible for any parking charges. Dogs are permitted on a lead and will start after other participants. The Run Like a Haggis MapRun Navigation - Guisborough will take place in Guisborough on Saturday 7 February 2026.
