Lambton Castle Summer Trail Runs 2026

The Lambton Estate Summer Trail Runs take place within the private grounds of Lambton Estate, Chester-le-Street, County Durham, in August 2026. The estate offers woodland and parkland landscapes and contains historic architecture; its trails are not normally open to the public.

Distances

• 5 km Trail Run, new for 2026, introductory distance.
• 5 mile Trail Run, mixed terrain for intermediate runners.
• 10 mile Trail Run, moderately undulating with woodland, fields, and estate roads.
• 15 mile Trail Run, 10-mile route followed by the 5-mile loop for endurance runners.

Routes consist of woodland tracks, grassy fields, firm paths and short sections on private estate roads. The event is Canicross friendly: one well controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.

Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North with instant race results. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. A custom event T-shirt is available for an additional £14.00. On-site parking is available for participants and spectators for £3.
