Lambton Castle Summer Trail Runs 2026

The event takes place within the private grounds of the Lambton Estate in Chester-le-Street, County Durham. The estate includes woodland and parkland landscapes and private trails that are not normally open to the public.

Distances offered:

• 5km route new for 2026
• 5 mile mixed terrain route
• 10 mile moderately undulating course with woodland and fields
• 15 mile combination of the 10 mile route plus the 5 mile loop

Routes use scenic woodland tracks, grassy fields, firm paths, and short sections on private estate roads. The 15 mile distance follows the 10 mile route then adds the 5 mile loop. Some route maps are provided and the 5km map is to be confirmed.

The event is canicross friendly. One well-controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.

Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North for instant and accurate race results. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. A custom event T-shirt can be added during registration for £12.50.
