The Lambton Castle Summer Trail Runs take place on 16 August 2026 at Lambton Castle, Chester-le-Street, County Durham (DH3 4PW). Entry prices for the standard distances range from £26 to £30. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. Parking is available on-site for participants and spectators. A custom event T-shirt can be added during registration for £12.

Distances

  • 5 miles - mixed terrain route.
  • 10 miles - moderately undulating with woodland trails, open fields, and estate roads.
  • 15 miles - the 10-mile route plus the 5-mile loop.

Course and facilities

The routes use scenic woodland tracks, grassy fields, firm paths, and brief sections on private estate roads. Route maps are provided for the 5-mile and 10-mile courses; the 15-mile route equals the 10-mile plus the 5-mile loops. The event is Canicross friendly: one well-controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.

Finish and inclusions
