Lambton Castle Summer Trail Runs 2026
This is a summer trail running event set within the private grounds of the Lambton Estate at Lambton Castle, Chester-le-Street, County Durham, DH3 4PW. The venue includes woodland, parkland and estate roads that are not normally open to the public.
Distances offered:
- 5 Mile Mixed terrain route with woodland tracks and grassy fields.
- 10 Mile Moderately undulating course with woodland trails, open fields and estate roads.
- 15 Mile Combination of the 10 Mile route plus the 5 Mile loop.
Expect scenic woodland tracks, grassy fields, firm paths and brief sections on private estate roads. The event is canicross friendly; one well controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and results are recorded electronically. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. A custom event T shirt can be added during registration for £12.00. Parking is available on site for participants and spectators.
