The Lambton Castle Trail Runs take place on Sunday 16 August 2026 at Lambton Castle, Chester-le-Street, County Durham (DH3 4PW). The event offers three distance options:

Course, venue and rules

Routes run on private estate land that is not normally open to the public. Surfaces include woodland tracks, grassy fields, firm paths, and brief sections on private estate roads. The 5-mile course is mixed terrain. The 10-mile course is moderately undulating with woodland, open fields, and estate roads. The 15-mile distance comprises the 10-mile route plus the 5-mile loop. Parking is available on site for participants and spectators. The event is canicross-friendly: one well-controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
