The Hardmoors 26.2 Roseberry Trail Races take place on Sunday 30 August 2026 at Sea Cadets Hall, Belmangate, Guisborough, TS14 7AQ. The event has a maximum field of 400 participants. Distances offered:

Published ascent figures are 4850, 3200 and 1600 feet respectively. Time limits are 10 hours for the longest distance, 5 hours for the middle distance and 3 hours for the shortest distance. Entry fees listed are: Trail Marathon £49 attached / £51 unattached; Half Marathon £36 attached / £38 unattached; Trail 10k £28 attached / £30 unattached.

Course, kit and race rules

Routes are not fully marked so competitors must navigate themselves using the downloadable route description, map and GPX files and are required to print the route materials. The course crosses exposed terrain and reaches the highest part of the North York Moors. Compulsory kit requirements include a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat, gloves, spare long sleeve layer, 500 ml of water or sports drink, printed route description and map, emergency survival bag and foil blanket, whistle and means to attach a race bib. The event is cupless so runners should bring a cup for checkpoint and finish drinks. Parking at the registration venue is very limited and nearby car parks are recommended.
