The Sutton Bank Sizzler is a night trail race held on Saturday 13 September 2025 at Sutton Bank Visitor Centre, Thirsk (YO7 2EH). The course is a circular route of approximately 7 miles with total ascent of 344 m (1128 ft). The event has an entry limit of 150 and a three-hour time limit. Entry fees are £24 for attached runners and £26 for unattached runners. Minimum age for the event is 12. The race holds an ARC permit (25/0419).

Course, kit and rules

The route will be marked with glow sticks and marshalled. Parking is available at the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre. Mandatory kit includes a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat, gloves, survival bag and foil blanket, a headtorch or torch, and safety pins or a race belt to attach the bib. All runners will have a kit check at registration. The event is cupless; participants should bring a cup if they require drinks at checkpoints or at the finish. Additional rules: no dogs, no on-the-day entries, no waiting list, no refunds and no deferrals. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers.
