Punk Panther Takes the Hindmost is scheduled for 25 July 2026 at Swinsty/Fewston Car Park, North Lane, LS21 2NP. The event is organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons. Entry requires registration with the SiEntries system. Minimum age is 18. The entry fee is £30 and maximum entry is 30 runners.

Course and format

The race uses repeated reservoir loops of about 10 km with approximately 375 ft of climb per lap. Runners complete four qualifying laps before elimination laps begin. During elimination laps the last runner to finish each full lap is removed from the race; this continues until three runners remain, after which laps continue until a single runner is left. The first person to complete 18 laps is declared the winner; if no one reaches 18 laps, the competitor who covers the greatest distance wins, with ties broken by who reached that distance first. Anyone taking more than 90 minutes to complete a lap is eliminated; when three remain, a longer lap allowance applies.

Facilities and results

The start and registration are based at the car park, where public toilets are available and runners may use their vehicles between laps. All finishers receive a T-shirt and a medal; a trophy is awarded to the first-place finisher. ITRA points and UTMB index credits are awarded depending on the number of laps completed.
