Punk Panther 6 Dales Trail

The Punk Panther 6 Dales Trail is an out-and-back trail race that follows the Six Dales Trail from Otley to Pateley Bridge and back. The route passes Swinsty, Fewston and Thruscross Reservoirs and was formerly known as A Bridge Too Far. Courses are undulating with changing views despite the out-and-back format.

Distances offered:

  • Half Marathon, 13 miles, climb 1700 feet.
  • 20 Miles, climb 2500 feet.
  • Ultra, 32 Miles, climb 3800 feet.

The event allocates ITRA points (1/1/2) and offers UTMB qualification categories for the distances indicated. The minimum age is 18 and the field is limited by a maximum entrant number of 200. Designated checkpoints and timing points are used on each course; competitors must visit the required checkpoints or risk retirement. Checkpoints provide drinks, snacks and a vegan option box. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; half marathon and 20 mile entrants may hire a tracker for a fee. Trackers include an emergency button and show competitor positions on the event tracker screen.

A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks are carried out on course. Registration and the finish take place at The Bridge Church, Cattle Market Street, Otley LS21 1RW. Dogs are allowed on the route subject to event rules but are not permitted inside the church at registration or finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
