Schools Out 6 Hour Challenge

York, United Kingdom • 15 Aug 2025

The Schools Out 6 Hour Challenge is a timed running event held at Bustardthorpe Changing Rooms in York. Participants run loops of a 3.65-mile flat course on paved paths, avoiding service tracks, with a route passing York College. The event encourages camaraderie, featuring a section where runners share the path in opposite directions.

Runners can complete as many laps as possible within six hours, with half and full marathon distances marked. Amenities include free parking, toilets, showers, and a well-stocked aid station. The event is cupless, so runners bring their own bottles for refreshments.

All finishers receive a goody bag, memento, and treats like chocolate and cake. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
