Sledmere Sunset Trail 10k

The Sledmere Sunset Trail 10k is an evening trail running event organized by Driffield Striders. The course is set within the grounds of Sledmere House, located near Driffield in Yorkshire. Participants follow a winding route that passes through deep chalk valleys and secluded woodland paths. The race concludes on the wide lawns in front of Sledmere House.

The event offers several distance options to accommodate different ages:

  • 3.6 km (Trail Taster)
  • 500 m (Children's Fun Run for ages 9 and under)

The 10 km race has a minimum age requirement of 15 years old. The event features chip timing for accurate results, and a medal is awarded to all finishers at the end of their respective runs.

Facilities available on-site include parking, toilets, and refreshments, although there are no changing facilities provided. Registration for the 10 km race is limited to 400 participants, and no entries are accepted on the day of the event. For the children's Fun Run, entries are handled on the day and are free of charge.
