The course is predominantly on a tarmac path along an old railway line with a small section of trail. It is an out and back route with no navigation required.
An aid table is available at the end of each lap with water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of foods such as sweets, biscuits and grapes. Toilets are provided at a local leisure facility. Parking is available on Preston Road in the parking bays near Poorhouse Lane; local business car parks and parking on Poorhouse Lane are restricted.
Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a five piece goody bag. The event is licensed by the TRA and is operated under UKA Athletics rules. Maximum permitted distances by age follow UKA guidance for junior and senior categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
