The Ship Inn Shuffle is an out-and-back trail running event starting at the Ship Inn, Cliff Road, Sewerby, Bridlington. The next scheduled race date is 28/06/2026. Races are licensed by the Trail Running Association. There is a single cut-off time of 6.5 hours applied to all distances. Finishers are offered a meal from the Blue Savannah van or from the Ship Inn once it opens; vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.

Course and logistics

The route begins on the cliffs at Sewerby and runs along the coast, passing Danes Dyke and reaching Flamborough. The course runs through fields, woodland, and trail. It is undulating and includes steps and a couple of stiles. The route is signposted and marshals are positioned on course. Feed and drink stations are provided at roughly three-mile intervals. Organisers aim to be cup-less, so reusable cups or bottles are recommended. GPX files of the routes are available for download.

Parking, registration and the race start/finish are behind the Ship Inn. Parking at the back of the pub is charged at £5 cash only; council parking further down the road may also be available. Large over-ear headphones are banned; bone-conduction or one-in-one-out earphones are acceptable. There may be unmarshalled road crossings. Runners who withdraw should notify the nearest marshal. Tackle the Hardwolds 80, an 80 mile Wolds Way ultramarathon from Hessle to seaside Filey through chalk valleys, wildlife and historic villages. You have 24 hours to finish and earn a medal and finisher tee.
