The Ship Inn Shuffle : 28 June 2026

The Ship Inn Shuffle is an out-and-back trail event starting at the Ship Inn in Sewerby, Bridlington. The route runs along coastal cliffs, passes Danes Dyke and reaches towards Flamborough. The course goes through fields, woodland and trail, and is undulating with several flights of steps and a couple of stiles. Feed and drink stations are provided at approximately every 3 miles. Finish arrangements include a meal from the Ship Inn or a butty from the Blue Savannah van; vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and has a 6.5 hour overall cut off.

Route, safety and services

The route is signposted and marshals are positioned on course, but not every corner or junction is guaranteed to be marshalled. Organisers provide downloadable GPX files for navigation. The event operates a cup-less policy at feed stations, so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Large over-ear headphones are banned; bone-conducting or one-in-one-out earphones are permitted. There may be unmarshalled road crossings. If a runner needs to withdraw they should notify the nearest marshal. Transfers or deferrals are self-serve on the organiser website up to 48 hours before the event.
