The Ship Inn Shuffle

The Ship Inn Shuffle is an out and back trail event that starts at the cliffs in Sewerby and follows the coast past Danes Dyke towards Flamborough. The route runs through fields, woodland and trail sections and is generally undulating with several sets of steps and a couple of stiles.

Distances available include:

  • 10 km
  • Half marathon
  • Marathon

Feed and drink stations are provided at approximately every three miles. The route is signposted and marshals are positioned along the course, though not every corner will be marshalled. Downloadable GPX files are available to help with navigation. Races are licensed by the Trail Running Association and all distances have a six and a half hour cut off.

On-course arrangements: competitors are asked to use reusable cups or bottles at feed stations. Large over-ear headphones are banned; bone conduction or single ear in-ear devices are permitted. There may be unmarshalled road crossings. If a runner needs to withdraw, they should inform the nearest marshal. Transfers can be self-served on the organiser website up to 48 hours before the event.

Start, finish, registration and parking are located behind the Ship Inn, Cliff Road, Sewerby, Bridlington YO15 1EW. Parking behind the pub is charged at £5 cash; council parking is available nearby. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
