The route features approximately 2,900 ft of climb and passes the villages of Huggate, Fridaythorpe, Thixendale, Fimber and Wetwang. The course is clearly waymarked with yellow tape and large yellow correx signs, and a GPX file is provided for navigation.

The event is limited to 200 entrants and includes live GPS tracking for participants. Checkpoint 3 offers optional drop-bag access, tea and coffee, and phone charging. A finish area provides complimentary tea or coffee and cake, and finishers can choose an eco-wooden medal, a wildflower seed medal, or no medal with three trees planted on their behalf.

Additional arrangements include a PreLoved Sports collection point, professional event photography with free downloads, partner discounts and a charitable donation of £4 from each entry to local causes.
