Wold Rangers Way Ultra
The Wold Rangers Way Ultra is a circular trail race of about 52 km through the Yorkshire Wolds, starting and finishing at Field House Camping & Coffee Barn near Tibthorpe. The route includes roughly 2,900 ft of climb and is waymarked with yellow tape and large yellow correx signs. A GPX file is provided for navigation and a live GPS tracker is included with entry.
The event field is limited to 200 runners and the full course has a 12 hour cut-off. There are four indoor checkpoints with toilets spaced along the route; checkpoint catering is vegan friendly and gluten free. An optional drop bag can be left for checkpoint 3. Checkpoints also offer menstrual products and some locations allow spectator support at designated parking areas.
On-site facilities at the venue include free parking, indoor cycle parking, and food and drink for purchase. At the finish there is complimentary tea or coffee and cake, and runners choose between an eco-wooden medal, a wildflower seed medal, or having trees planted instead. Optional technical T-shirts and professional event photography are available.
Safety provisions include first aid cover throughout the event and a list of mandatory kit that participants must carry. Minimum age is 20 on race day and dogs are not permitted on the course. A £4 donation from each entry supports local charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
