Dalby's Inferno

Dalby's Inferno is a lap-format ultra event in Dalby Forest on 6 June 2026. The event in its sixth year comprises ten laps of a 5.5 km forest loop, totalling 55 km, and raises funds for the Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue team.

The course follows a signed and marshalled 5.5 km trail through the forest. Entrants have one hour to complete each lap; a new lap starts on the hour every hour for ten hours. Runners who fail to finish a lap must sit out the next lap but may rejoin later, up to and including the ninth lap. Completion of nine laps grants entry to the tenth lap.

The entry fee is £60 and includes event entry, free entry into Dalby Forest (usually £10 per vehicle) and two nights of camping on Friday and Saturday at the Adderstone camping area. Camping is at the same location as the start and finish, with toilets and fresh water on site but no showers. There is hard standing for campervans and a limit of one tent or campervan per entry. Hot food and drinks will be available to buy and fresh water will be provided. No BBQs are allowed. No dogs are permitted on the run; well controlled dogs may camp.

Minimum age is 16. There are no deferrals or refunds, but an optional XCover purchase is offered for refund protection. A pre-order event tech T-shirt is available for £25 until 03/05/26; none will be sold at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
