Dalby's Inferno - Dalby Forest, 6 June 2026

Dalby's Inferno is a backyard style ultramarathon held in Dalby Forest on 6 June 2026. The event consists of ten laps of a 5.5 km forest loop, totaling 55 km, and raises funds for the Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue team.

Participants have one hour to complete each lap. Laps start on the hour, every hour, for ten hours. Runners who complete a lap may start the next; those who do not finish must sit out the following lap but may rejoin on later laps up to and including the ninth. Completing nine laps grants entry to the tenth lap.

The entry fee includes event entry, free entry to Dalby Forest (usually £10 per vehicle), and two nights camping on Friday and Saturday at Adderstone. Camping is at the same field as the start and finish, approximately 100 m away, with toilets and fresh water supplied; there are no showers. One tent or campervan per entry; hard standing is available for campervans. A start/finish area is provided for resting and refuelling between laps; supporters may camp in the same field. No BBQs. The route will not be published before the event and will be fully signed and marshalled on the day.

A tech T shirt can be pre-ordered for £25 when entering online with a cut-off of 03/05/26; no T shirts will be sold at the event. Minimum age 16. Dogs are not permitted on the run but may camp if well controlled. No deferrals or refunds; an optional XCover insurance purchase is available for refundable circumstances.
