Filey Lions 10K Beach Race
The Filey Lions 10K Beach Race is an annual event held along Filey Beach in Filey, North Yorkshire. Organised by Filey Lions since 2015, the race starts and finishes on the beach close to Filey Sailing Club, where registration and the race headquarters are based. The course is a single 10 kilometre lap on mixed terrain with a flat profile. Runners head south along the beach, reach a marked turnaround at the 5 km water station and return to the start and finish area. A gift and a medal are provided for every runner.
Entry is limited to 250 places; the entry list in the source showed 108 places remaining at the time of posting. Entry fees listed are £18.00 for affiliated runners and £20.00 for unaffiliated runners, and entry on the day is not available. Facilities noted at the race include water, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, showers and baggage storage. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs.
