Mulgrave Castle 10K

The Mulgrave Castle 10K is organised by Loftus and Whitby AC and takes place on the private Mulgrave Estate near Sandsend beach, close to Whitby. The woodland trail passes the old castle and provides views of the coast and Whitby Abbey. The event distance is approximately 10 km and the race is chip timed, with the start and finish positioned outside Mulgrave Castle.

Refreshments are available at race headquarters before and after the race and at the prize giving. Each finisher receives a bespoke functional memento. A donation will be made to Mulgrave Community Sports Association. Ample car parking is provided on site at a cost of £1 per car; participants are asked to follow the directions of marshals. There is no on the day entry.

The event terms state that participants take responsibility for their own fitness and safety and should inform organisers of relevant medical details. Entries are non refundable, but may be transferred to another competitor or deferred to the next year if arranged at least one week before the event with the organiser and relevant competitor details provided by email. Competitors using another person’s number will be disqualified. Timing will revert to stopwatch if required. Organisers reserve the right to refuse or cancel entries or alter the event; cancellation refunds are subject to a small administration fee.
