Event Overview

The CT Cleveland Hills is a trail running event scheduled for June 20, 2026, in North Yorkshire. This ultra marathon covers a total distance of 77.3 km, traversing the landscape from Ingleby Cross to Robin Hood Bay. The course involves a total ascent of 1736 m and a total descent of 1819 m. Participants are required to complete the route within a 15-hour duration.

The race begins at Ingleby Arncliffe Village Hall and concludes at Robin Hood Bay. Along the 77.3 km route, there are three established checkpoints to guide runners through the Cleveland Hills:

Two waymarked trail races of 5 km and 10 km take place around Kirkby Fleetham on 9 June 2026, both finishing at the village hall. Routes run through fields, farms and forestry and are open to participants aged 16 and above.

A 24 mile fell run and challenge walk through Swaledale on 13 June 2026, organised by Swaledale Outdoor Club. Competitors must navigate the route themselves and finish within 10 hours; minimum age 14.

Trail races from Chop Gate with three distances : Marathon (28), Half 16.5 and 10k 9.5. Entries limited to 330, mandatory safety kit is required and competitors must print route maps and navigate themselves.

Trail races at Forcett Hall on a historic estate, offering 5 km, 10 km (two laps) and a 5 km walk over pasture, tracks and woodland; trail shoes recommended and places are limited to 200 entrants.
