Distances offered

Time limits are 10 hours for the marathon, 6 hours for the half marathon and 4 hours for the 10k. Total ascent figures are published for each distance and route materials are available as downloadable maps, route descriptions and GPX files. Courses are not continuously taped or signed; competitors must navigate using printed or carried navigation materials and it is the competitor's responsibility to follow the route.

Mandatory safety kit is required for all distances and is enforced. Marathon and half marathon mandatory items include a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat and gloves, capacity to carry 500 ml fluid, printed route description and map, emergency survival bag, foil blanket, whistle and means to attach a race number. The event is cupless so participants should bring a cup for checkpoints and for hot drinks at the finish. Dogs are not permitted. Refund and deferral policies are restricted; transfers are possible only under specific conditions and within published deadlines.
