Hardmoors 26.2 Wainstones Trail Marathon

Mandatory kit is required for all distances. Marathon and Half Marathon mandatory items include a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat and gloves, capacity to carry 500 ml fluid, printed route description and printed route map, emergency survival bag, foil blanket, whistle, spare long sleeved base layer and means to attach a race number. The 10k mandatory list includes a printed route description and map, emergency survival bag, foil blanket, whistle and capacity to carry 500 ml fluid. Failure to carry mandatory kit for the duration of the event will result in disqualification.

Races are not taped or signed; competitors must download and print route descriptions and maps and navigate themselves. Entries open in August 2025 and close 22 May 2026. Two waymarked trail races of 5 km and 10 km take place around Kirkby Fleetham on 9 June 2026, both finishing at the village hall. Routes run through fields, farms and forestry and are open to participants aged 16 and above.

Trail races at Forcett Hall on a historic estate, offering 5 km, 10 km (two laps) and a 5 km walk over pasture, tracks and woodland; trail shoes recommended and places are limited to 200 entrants.

An all night trail run across the North York Moors starting and finishing at Goathland Village Hall. Entrants receive a tracker, a GPX route and checkpoint support with food and drinks, and all finishers receive a Lamplighter medal.

A night trail run of about 20 miles from Goathland Village Hall across the North York Moors, held from sunset to sunrise with trackers, checkpoints and on-course refreshments. Entrants have 6.5 hours to complete the circular route.
