Hardmoors 26.2: Wainstones is a trail race day on Sunday 14 June 2026 at Chop Gate Village Hall, Raisdale Road, Chop Gate, TS9 7JN. It is part of the Hardmoors 26.2 series. Entries are limited (350 places) and the normal entry period closes on 22 May 2026. The event uses circular routes that start and finish at the village hall. Age limits are: marathon 18 years or older, half marathon 16 years or older, 10k 10 years or older.

Course and requirements

The event offers the following routes:

  • Marathon - 28 miles (approximately)
  • Half Marathon - 16.5 miles
  • 10k - 9.5 miles

Time limits are 10 hours for the marathon, 6 hours for the half marathon, and 4 hours for the 10k. All courses are largely unmarked; competitors must download, print and carry the route description and maps provided by the organisers and navigate themselves. Mandatory kit lists apply for each distance and include items such as a waterproof jacket, capacity to carry 500 ml fluid, printed route description and map, emergency survival bag, foil blanket and whistle.
