Hardmoors 26.2: Wainstones is a trail race event on Sunday 14 June 2026, based at Chop Gate Village Hall, Raisdale Road, Chop Gate (postcode TS9 7JN, what3words: deflated.dressy.human). The event is part of the Hardmoors 26.2 series and uses circular routes starting and finishing at the village hall. The event offers three distances:

  • Marathon (around 28 miles)
  • Half Marathon : 16.5 miles
  • Trail 10k : 9.5 miles

Time limits are set for each course: 10 hours for the marathon, 6 hours for the half marathon and 4 hours for the 10k. Age minimums are: marathon 18 years, half marathon 16 years, 10k 10 years.

Participation, navigation and kit

Courses are not fully waymarked. Competitors must download, print and carry the route description and map; GPX files are also provided. The event is cupless; runners should bring their own cup for checkpoints and finish drinks. Mandatory kit is required and failure to carry it will result in disqualification. Mandatory items include a waterproof jacket with taped seams (marathon and half), hat and gloves (marathon and half), capacity to carry 500 ml fluid, printed route description and map, an emergency survival bag or foil blanket, a whistle and means to attach the race number.
